Felicity Jane Willow + Sahlin Studio Viewpoint | Bermuda Layout No. 09

Hi guys, today I am sharing a process that came about from a viewer request! Marybeth Lysen asked me if I could think of any digital kits that would coordinate with Felicity Jane kits, and boy can I! So I created this layout from our Bermuda honeymoon album using Felicity Jane Willow and Sahlin Studio Viewpoint collections.

Have a look at the completed layout here:

So let’s take a look at the left hand side, which is a pocket page. For this side I chose journal cards from the Felicity Jane Willow collection and embellished as usual.

I began this side of the layout with a photo we took of ourselves on hotel property before we left for adventures of exploring the island. On that particular day we took the buses around the island, and my story is that we discovered Alan did not care for the buses!

Alan struggles at times with motion sickness, and the buses on the island really messed with him, so that is why we decided to rent the scooters. I actually thought it was kind of hilarious that he thought the buses weren’t safe – they were really fast and the roads were really narrow – but I actually loved them! But of course I didn’t want him to be sick! I absolutely adore this photo of our helmets together. So cute!

For the right hand side I used another photo we took in the same spot, of our feet. In the process video I shared how I made that photo just a tiny bit longer so it was big enough to fit this space.

For this side I chose two of the pattern papers in the Sahlin Studio Viewpoint collection, and then embellished on top using the Willow collection. This allowed me to plan and print the photo as I needed it, and also to print just the parts of the papers I needed as well.

I kept embellishing to a minimum simply because I wanted the focus to be this strong diagonal lines created by the pattern paper. The white space in the photo was perfect for a bit of title work.

I hope you enjoyed this process today! I love using a mix of products and love that it helps use my supplies over a wide range of projects.
