Scrappy Christmas In July | December Daily Days 13 Through 15

Hello and welcome back to Scrappy Christmas In July! This is a summer series created by Tracey Fox designed to inspire you to get some Christmas projects completed in July. Today I am sharing Days 13 through 15 in my 2019 December Daily with you. Be sure to follow Tracey on Instagram, she is @scrappylikeafox and you can also follow the hashtag #scrappychristmasinjuly so you can follow along with all the fun. To see more from my December Daily album for 2019, you can check out this link here: Larkindesign December Daily 2019. Let’s get started!

My Foundation Page for these couple of days looked a little something like this:

As you can see, some things got shifted around when I was working on the album during December last year! The star transparency ended up in Day 11, and I am now using this gold foil transparency to divide my days 13 and 14. I had the back of a full size 6×8 page protector for this day, so I decided to use a Photoshop template in order to include more photos. The template I have used is this one from The Lilypad: Paislee Press Pocket Guide No. 01. My story for that day was about our annual tradition of frosting the cookies (and then eating them, of course!), and I loved how using this template allowed me to use three photos. I added my number 13 (Felicity Jane) directly on top of my print, along with a stitched star and word stickers from Ali Edwards.

The transparency divider here is from Ali Edwards, and the stitched piece I have layered on top is a little something I found in a shop local to me, called Total Bliss. I have talked about this little shop before, I go there for my Annie Sloan paints, and we had stopped in there during holiday decorating to gather some inspiration for our tree. I attached the piece to the transparency using my Tiny Attacher. For Day 14 I had another photo that was taken during the holiday baking. Alan and I were playing with this cookie cutter and the camera, which makes for a fun photo to include here. I used physical cards from Paislee Press and again kept the embellishments to a minimum for me. The Merry card is left alone, and I added the circle number from Felicity Jane plus a tiny puffy heart to my journal card. The silver tree plus word strips on my photo are from Ali Edwards.

Day 15 is the beginning of a bigger story. That weekend we took a fun little day trip to Atlanta for a street fair put on by the Christkindlmarkt. You can see a previous layout from 2016 that I created about this special little shop in Germany, and what it means to me here: December Daily 2016 Days 8 and 9. We had the best time, and I took a LOT of photos, so I want to include lots of photos. Here in this layout I am including a photo of some bowls I purchased at the fair. I added two journal cards, also from Paislee Press, to help tell this story. The number 15 is from Felicity Jane, and the word sticker and rubber piece are from Ali Edwards.

These pages come together so quickly once you have Foundation Pages done! I say that every year, and even when I wasn’t able to complete this album in the month of December last year, working through it now is so awesome. Thanks for joining me, see you again soon!
