Traditional Scrapbook Layout | You Are Beautiful feat. Crate Paper Oasis & Jane Davenport
Hi guys, today I am sharing another layout about myself about “Things I Need to Hear.” This is a traditional, mixed media layout using Crate Paper Oasis collection and Jane Davenport watercolors and stencil.
So last week I shared a layout about myself and some of the affirmations that I need to hear in my life right now. So many of you told me how much you really liked that layout and the concept of the layout, and I enjoyed making the layout too. So I decided I would definitely try to do more of that. Yay for 12×12 traditional layouts!
I started this layout with the wood grain patterned paper from the Oasis collection. Oh you guys, it is gorgeous and while my first instinct is to hide it away and never use it, I promise I didn’t ruin it and I am sooo happy I used it. First I ran the patterned paper through my printer to get this really big title.
Then I really wanted these florals from the Jane Davenport stencil around the title itself, so I used my modeling paste to achieve that.
Then, because I love color and wanted to play with the Jane Davenport watercolors, I painted and swirled and dripped those beautiful colors all around the flowers themselves. Ah so pretty.
And then I began to layer my photos and ephemera in the opposite corner of my title.
My journaling reads as follows:
Thanks so much for following along today! See you back here again soon!
